What are giclée prints?

Print refers to any sort of reproduction (various methods of process) of original artwork.

Giclee is a French word 'to spray' referring to a process by large format (12 cartridge) inkjet printers. By using pigment based inks instead dye based inks, the print becomes very archival and of the highest quality. When printed on watercolour paper (or canvas) the image of the print is so close to the original that sometimes it is very hard to differentiate.

When you purchase Giclee Print, you have purchased a piece of art that is individually produced with the best materials available. It is meant to last (200 years) and be enjoyed by many generations.
