Lee Fidler

Lee Fidler is a watercolour artist who was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Her interest in art began at an early age and was self-taught through trial and error during the early years of learning. Her professional career began in 1978 when she became a member of Artisans Northwest. Her signature style is depicted by the soft and peaceful flowers that are created in fine detail. Often included in her paintings, are the birds that visit her garden and backyard feeders. Lee's endearing pet portraits are also among the subjects she enjoys painting. During her career, she has exhibited in several group and one-man shows.

Through the years of artistic development that includes studying with numerous, esteemed, international artists, Lee has brought her knowledge, techniques, skill and passion not only to her own work, but also to inspire the students she has taught over the past several years. She has had work published in "Watercolor without Boundaries" by American artist/author and instructor of renown, Karlyn Holman.

Recently, Lee has returned to her artistic roots and once again enjoys creating fine graphite drawings. She is also now including coloured pencil as a new and exciting medium. In July 2016, her recently completed coloured pencil painting of a wolf was published in "CP Hidden Treasures" following entry into a coloured pencil competition of over 800 entries worldwide.

Over the years, Lee has developed a style that appeals to those who seek the calm and serenity her paintings have to offer.
